The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: United States Constitution reads: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. The NRA is on the side of the individual to bear arms, while scholars argue the Framers intended only to restrict Congress from legislating away a state’s right to self-defense. Scholars have come to call this theory “the collective rights theory.” “the collective rights theory.” Until someone can definitively prove that “Cancealed Carry” is a threat to the safety of “We the People” we should have the right to responsibly own and carry weapons of our choice in a free society. “Cancealed Carry” Until someone can definitively prove that “Cancealed Carry” is a threat to the safety of “We the People” we should have the right to responsibly own and carry weapons of our choice in a free society. “We the People” Until someone can definitively prove that “Cancealed Carry” is a threat to the safety of “We the People” we should have the right to responsibly own and carry weapons of our choice in a free society. Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt. They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.

Benghazi Attack: Clinton’s Unbelievable Response

Foreign Policy Military Politics

Hillary Clinton will return to Capitol Hill Thursday to give her testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi. She’s expected to face questions about events surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi — where Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed — as well as her private e-mail setup. Most politicians are capable of stretching the truth on occasion. But this question, this setting, and this egregious a lie suggest that Mrs. Clinton’s conscience — if she ever had one — is growing flaccid from disuse. What people are missing on this issue is that use of modern technology could have solved this within weeks. In Chapter 17 of 20/20: A Clear Vision for America, I thoroughly discuss the endemic issue with the government and its inability to keep up with modern trends in technology standards. Hillary Clinton should have been issued a state-of-the-art government laptop that was connected through state-of-the-art government email servers and regulated as the only means she had to access the internet for work purposes. If this had been the case, every email she had on Benghazi and every other issue would have been accessed immediately, without her intervention. The Government and its employees need to get on board with a universal, state-of-the-art computer hardware and software standard or we’re going to be seeing these issues more and more.

IN THE NEWS: WE THE PEOPLE are suffering because some choose NOT TO VOTE!

Elections Immigration Politics Voting

AAEAAQAAAAAAAATUAAAAJGRiZTVjOTM4LWFkNGEtNDYyMC1iMjE1LTNkYjEwOTQ2ZTM5YwThis election is vital because it will include an aspect of voting that has not occurred in such magnitude in the past: Illegal immigrant voters. Any sane citizen of the US can see that with such an influx of illegal immigrants that are to a degree being tracked, those illegal immigrants will be tracked down by the Democratic Party and ushered to vote for the candidate that will allow them to stay.
This could change the voting landscape dramatically. This is also why it is so vitally imperative that conservative voters go out and vote for the Republican candidate. Voting Libertarian or even Independent will only be voting in a Democratic candidate that allows more of the same to continue.
This is a rare election that requires the voters to vote against a continuation of what has come before more than vote for what they want to see in the future…because there may not be much of a future left if current policies are left unchecked.

Americans Abandoned by our Leadership

Foreign Policy Homeland Security Politics

President Obama and Secretary Kerry have proven yet again that they have only one goal in mind: Political Self-Preservation. AAEAAQAAAAAAAAcEAAAAJDM3MGUzZTgwLWMwNWUtNGQ0Yi05NGEwLWZkOWViMjI4OTJiOQPresident Obama and Secretary Kerry have proven yet again that they have only one goal in mind: Political Self-Preservation. If the American presidency had any clout whatsoever, it would have demanded the release of these journalists immediately “or else.” But, this is just another symptom of our current administration. That we are making deals with countries who have vowed to destroy us is unconscionable. So, can “We the People” be surprised this has happened?  Of course not. Can “We the people” expect there will be some political effort made to have these people released? Not until it has become a painful issue for the major media outlets that the “Self-Preservation” of the politicians in question, is in question. We can all wonder if our administration refused to stand up and go to bat for the American hostages held by ISIS (whom later were beheaded, raped and murdered), why would they go to bat for hostages of one of our newfound “allies?”

Liberty And Freedom

Economics Law

I’ll never forget a sunny Saturday morning in June 1958 when a group of tanned, chiseled candidates stood to take the oath of an Officer in the United States Marine Corps. I still remember solemnly swearing with pride to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. That oath was taken with joy in a nation filled with an enthusiastic spirit, full of energy and excitement over the bountiful prospects that lie ahead. Living by that oath is my way of life. My vision of America has not changed since that day of great magnitude so many years ago. However, something terrible has happened over these many years. Our country, so poised to accomplish monumental undertakings has gradually become a listless, lost ship in a roiling sea of uncertainty searching for a beacon of light. We have lost our direction and our moral compass.  “20/20: A Clear Vison for America” has become my life and my life is this vision to make America whole; to keep Americans safe; and to straighten the dysfunctional federal government path of corruption and apathy.

A Republic of Lawlessness

Law Tyranny

Barack Obama has told the citizens of the United States and the world that he will use his pen and his phone to get what he wants. When he presented his latest immigration plan for America, he in fact presented his plan for amnesty to the American people, Barack Obama cited his belief in the rule of law.  Nonetheless, in his willingness to ignore constitutional precedent, ignore the established law on immigration, and ignore the laws illegal aliens have broken, he was disloyal to his imaginary belief. This presents serious questions about the future of the office of the President. It functions as an menacing warning concerning the future of the country. Most all Americans believe in freedom and liberty, nevertheless there is a difference between the kind of freedom and liberty that operates as our strength and unrestrained anarchy. Freedom comes with conditions, consequences and restrictions. We have laws against violent acts such as murder, burglary, rape, and other crimes. As a nation of laws, we know the country would be a disaster without them.

The Increasing Cost of Government

Big Brother Incarceration Law

The mathematical postulate of the 80-20 Rule tells us twenty percent of the people in the United States are paying eighty percent of the tax burden. And they are paying upwards of 50 percent of their wages. While this is mathematically accurate, does it tell the whole story?

According to the American Community Survey, annual median household income rose 1.3 percent in 2006 to $50,233.00. In “governmentese,” real median household income in the United States showed no statistically significant change between 2011 and 2012. In 2011, U.S. median household income was $51,324 and in 2012 the median household income was $51,371.

These numbers appear to be significantly identical except for the fact that the dollar does not purchase as much today as it did seven years ago. Prices are up, purchasing power is down and wages stay the same. The Federal Reserve System continues to pump fiat dollars into the American economy. This is undeniably another cruel tax on all Americans, not just the top twenty percent.

What Price Population?

Community Homeland Security Terror

“Where the heck did all of these people come from Stella?” “I don’t know Sam. The caterer says we’re running out of canapés and there aren’t enough tables, chairs, place settings, food and drinks for all of these extra people.” “How many people were invited to the wedding Stella?” “Amy had 250 on the original invitation list. Then, some people were offended, and there was a lot of pressure to invite more guests. We were bullied into increasing the list to 280 people.” “Okay, but who are these extra 40 people? Where did they come from?”  “They just walked in the back door of the reception hall. No one was there to check invitations. They just started mingling and helping themselves to everything as if they were invited wedding guests,” Stella replied. “Well, the caterer just told me there are another 30 potential wedding crashers walking through the parking lot and they not only expect to enter the building, they expect to stay for the entire reception. What should we do Stella?”

Newtown Families File Law Suit

Community Law Terror

Nine families who lost a child or adult plus one teacher who was shot but survived the Sandy Hook massacre of 2012 have filed a complaint lawsuit against the companies that manufactured and sold the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle used in the devastating attack. The complaint faces an uphill battle because of an ill-conceived federal law designed to eliminate accountability against irresponsible companies and dealers who promote and sell guns. The court will have to be both creative and intrepid to allow the claims of the surviving family members even to proceed to trial. Lawyers for the plaintiffs insist that the companies in this case fall under an exception to the law because they engaged in “negligent entrustment.” The federal law is not going to be a deterrent for the families who need an outlet for their justifiable sorrow and rage. They do not think this type of gun, an assault rifle, used in this shooting should been sold to the public in the first place.

Our Children’s Children

Community Legacy Politics

“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”

This Greek Proverb means many things to many people. Does it mean seniors should do nice things for their children, or is there a deeper meaning? Does it mean we are responsible for the future? Perhaps this interpretation leads us to what should happen in America today.

A country grew great two hundred and thirty-nine years ago when our founders planted the mighty shade trees of Constitution, ownership, entrepreneurship, freedom and liberty for their children’s children to enjoy.

Unfortunately, those mighty shade trees are in peril. For the past one hundred years, corrupt politicians and greedy bankers have been slowly, but surely, cutting down these shielding shade trees of Constitution, ownership, entrepreneurship, freedom and liberty. They have stripped away the branches of the Constitution and replaced them with lawlessness for an “anything goes” philosophy that guarantees power and certain reelection.

Stripped away is the ownership of the “fruits of our labor” by devaluing our currency and placing the republic in crushing debt. One shiny silver dollar was worth 100 pennies 100 years ago. Now it has the value of four tarnished copper pennies. Some experts say only three.
