“Why am I losing friends so fast?  I always thought I was a nice guy.” I seem to have this problem when I meet women. The Muckster did it again this week. This time at an informal condo association dinner. I should have known from the Christmas Party (December 31, 2015 Article) to keep my mouth shut. Here’s how it all unfolded. One of the ladies, Gloria, at the long dinner table at El Charro’s remarked that she could not understand why some people think Hillary Clinton did something wrong when she sent emails. My new friend, who is now my ex-friend, stated that she herself sends emails every day. She receives emails every day. What difference does it make? They’re just emails. Everyone does it. In a fatal attempt I tried to explain that these are not just routine emails that people send to family and friends. They are not even the stupid emails people forward to people multiple times. These contain classified material. And they can’t be kept on a private, unsecure server.

Tell That to the Marines!

Foreign Policy Homeland Security Military Patriotism

In stunning fashion today, an anonymous source was overheard stating the administration was making plans to disband the United States Marine Corps. The high-ranking official was heard to say this is unfinished business left over from the Truman and Carter Administrations, among others, who tried in vain to break up the United States Marine Corps. This reminded one when in 2010 the Washington Post quoted an Obama administration official as saying, We have better operational coherence with virtually all of our NATO allies than we have with the United States Marine Corps. Many will see that as refreshing news. Most will wonder if the greatest threat to the current administration is the USMC. Therefore, disbanding the Corps is the ultimate elimination of a force it cannot control. What is unclear is the real reason behind this proposal. Is it the Marine Hymn? Is it that the Marines were not in favor of the stance of the other branches, especially the bloated Army Officer ranks, that had been so heavily “behavior modified” during the Clinton gender norming campaign? Or is this the first step of completely eliminating the Department of Defense, thereby shifting major federal government funding to immigration, refugee and welfare purposes?

Powerball: The American Stupid Tax

The “American Stupid Tax” has already accomplished two monumental things in this young year of 2016. People are paying more money into another failed government program while the payouts decrease. “American Stupid Tax” The “American Stupid Tax” has already accomplished two monumental things in this young year of 2016. People are paying more money into another failed government program while the payouts decrease. Okay, you think the Muckster has really lost it this time. You point out that the Powerball Payout is up to $1.3 billion – the highest in recorded history. What’s not to like? I’ve painted myself into the proverbial corner. Now I have to explain the unexplainable to my readers. The popular myth that the money goes to education is just that: a myth of evil proportions. Those who buy lottery tickets thinking they are just having fun while supporting the noble deed of helping education need to rethink this reckless act of charity. Buying lottery tickets, such as the almighty Powerball, is simply paying another tax. This one is just enormously more stupid than the other one hundred some odd taxes we Americans pay every year. Does anyone who has read ”

Southern Sense is a show of conservative talk on news and events, with Annie “The Radio Chick” Ubelis as host and Curtis “CS” Bennett, co-host.  Informative, fun, irreverent and politically incorrect, you never know where we’ll go, but you’ll love the journey! Visit at  http://www.Southern-Sense.com , become a member and follow us on Facebook. 20/20: A Clear Vision for America The United States is at a crisis point. The economy is crumbling. Dysfunction in Washington is epidemic. Bill Muckler’s  incredibly insightful vision brings a critical background to the issues of today and then provides reasoned resolutions to restore our republic’s exceptionalism and to drive our country forward to newfound prosperity. 20/20 reveals how a small, limited streamlined government is the best solution to make America complete again. This work is a reference guide to our republic’s severest threats, and the solutions to save us from internal and external tyranny. Read the manuscript that thousands of great Americans are using for their “Call to Action” to “Roll out the Revolution” Thomas Jefferson called for.

2016 New Year Predictions: Foresight or Folly?

Book Promotion Conservatism Patriotism Voting

It’s that time again. Making resolutions and making predictions.  My 2016 resolution is to expose all politicians and all media blowhards for the frauds they are. That was easy. The Muckster has spoken. Now the hard part. What will happen in 2016? Do I have the mucking foresight to forecast the future, or am I as foolish as all of the rest of the prognosticators? Check back on December 31, 2016 to find the answers. Now for 2016 predictions. First and foremost: “We the People” will not attain what we want and need to happen: safety from terrorists, economic growth and a small, limited government at all levels. Why? Leadership, or put more bluntly the lack of leadership.  For a refresher on the year 2015, I recommend reading Thomas Sowell’s excellent article: Remembering 2015 (December 29, 2015) How shall we remember 2015? Or shall we try to forget it? It is always hard to know when a turning point has been reached, and usually it is long afterwards before we recognize it. However, if 2015 has been a turning point, it may well have marked a turn in a downward direction for America and for Western civilization. Read more

The President’s Last Day

AAEAAQAAAAAAAAWYAAAAJGNlNWVhNjRjLWY2NTctNDc0MS1iY2U2LTYzMmQ5MTA4MDBjNgI recently attended a Christmas Party and had the typical questions put before me. “Who are you voting for to be our next president, or some such variation.” I then give my standard answer. “I have not seen any one candidate that has exhibited the type of leadership I see as required to lead this great republic; and I have not heard one candidate elaborate a vision or a plan as extensive or brilliant as the 20/20 Vision I wrote in “20/20: A Clear Vision for America.” Extensive and brilliant exist only in my mind until someone disproves it. The responses are also typical,  “who made you an expert, or what do you know that the politicians or the pundits don’t know, or what are your qualifications?” My answer is simply this,  “I am not an expert, I am happy that I don’t think like politicians or pundits, and my only qualifications are that I attempt to be a well-informed member of “We the people.”

The President’s Second Day

Now that you know what the new president has accomplished on the first day, you may wonder who perpetuated the myth of the “first one hundred days in office.” What a joke. First 100 days. Get real. Get to work. “first one hundred days in office.” Now that you know what the new president has accomplished on the first day, you may wonder who perpetuated the myth of the “first one hundred days in office.” What a joke. First 100 days. Get real. Get to work. Get real. Get to work. As the new president, I will read the Presidential Daily Brief (PDB). This is a highly secret document that only I and handful of top advisors will see and then attend the daily meeting during which I will ask questions and facilitate discussion based on the content of the PDB and other important topics.  I suspect the Top Secret Clearance I had when I was an officer in the USMC will be reinstated. My mom will be smiling down from heaven as she went through this investigative process when I was stationed at the Kaneohe Bay MCAS. Now that I am in high gear, I will meet with top advisors to begin the process of elimination all, or most, of the previous presidents’ executive orders and federal rules and regulations that have been imposed on “We the People” over the past twenty years. There must have been a good one in there somewhere.

The President’s First Day

Congress Elections Executive Orders Patriotism President President Obama Tax Code Uncategorized Voting

What should the president do on the first day in office? Walk in a parade? Give a Speech? Attend innumerable banquets and parties? How about this for a novel way to start the new job. Go to work! New presidents have a transition team. I guess there is a lot to transition with such a large unwieldly government to take over. Here’s another novel idea. Streamline the government. The backbone of the country’s broken. We’re on the bridge to nowhere and we’re attending lavish parties while America is burning. AAEAAQAAAAAAAAOmAAAAJGM4ZjUwOWE4LWMxODAtNDUxMC1hZjhiLWY2ZWEzYTY2NGY4ZQMany people say to me, “Bill, run for president. Implement your 20/20 Vision. You’re a Marine officer. You know leadership. It’s time for our first Marine president. It’s time to turn it around. Time to restore American exceptionalism.” “Okay. I’m all in. Here’s what I would do on the first day in office.” (This would all be prepared and written beforehand. Now that’s transition. Order is not important since this all happens on the first day. Marine officers are masters of multitasking. That is not a problem. Many will argue that some of these changes cannot be put into effect because they need Congressional approval or they are unconstitutional. I accept that. I am not a rogue. I am sharing my optimistic blueprint to restore American exceptionalism. The alternative is dysfunction.) This would all be prepared and written beforehand. Now that’s transition. December 9, 2015 It’s the morning after the author of 20/20: A Clear Vision for America sponsored a Christmas Party at the Brevard County, Florida Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island, Florida. The team of our four consultants have just walked across the hotel parking to their green rental car, loaded in their briefcases, and buckled in to drive to their consulting project at their client’s industrial plant. Tom started the conversation by expressing his thoughts from the previous evening. “I’m still excited about our evening at the Veterans Center last night.” “The people there were the nicest, most generous people I have ever met,” Genie chimed in. “Thanks for getting us the invitation Dave. That was a bonus for us. We seldom get to attend functions like that.”
