January 30th, 2018 By TLB Contributing Author & TLBTV Show Host: Bill Muckler Steve Snyder is a graduate of UCLA who lives in Seal Beach, California. In 2009, he retired from Vision Service Plan (VSP) after a 36-year career working in sales and sales management. He then began his quest to learn more about the World War II experiences of his father, pilot Howard Snyder, and the crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth.

Learning about his father and World War II became his passion. Four and one-half years of dedicated research resulted in his book, Shot Down, which has won 25 national book awards. Steve is a member of numerous World War II organizations. He is the immediate past president of the 306th Bomb Group Historical Association. He keeps very busy making PowerPoint presentations to all types of organizations and attending air shows around the country signing copies of his book.

More Americans are below the Poverty Level as more and more Americans go on welfare, Section 8 housing, SNAP and other government giveaways. This is not capitalism, but a perverted method to institute socialism on a huge segment of the American population to buy favor and thus buy votes to perpetuate this huge expansion of the corrupt welfare state.

The last three articles posted on the webpage focusing on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) clearly summarized the corruption of big bureaucracies fomenting big corruption. These programs are not only corrupt, but ineffective as all big socialist programs have proven to be.

This is depressing. My wife and I can’t afford kids, but the refugees in front of me in Sam’s loaded up two carts like this and are paying with SNAP aid. Why do they get so much more help than an American couple? (Photo Credit: CHRISMAN01/REDDIT)
Everybody is getting hooked on the free stuff. Americans, illegals and now even the Muslims won’t be outdone as America becomes the feeding trough for every deprived and depraved slacker that can sponge off the American taxpayer.

Food stamp trafficking, now political correctly known as SNAP is alive and well in my home state of Florida. The Justice Department has uncovered

the largest combined financial fraud loss for a food stamp trafficking takedown in history.

Sadly, these bureaucratic buffoons think they hit the fraud motherlode. In a previous article I stated they purport that SNAP fraud is only one percent, far less than Medicare and Medicaid fraud. Are we supposed to get excited about that? The real fraud rate is closer to 25 percent and climbing.

Do you like paying the banks interest on credit cards? On car loans? On home mortgages? No, you say. Well then, why do you love paying interest on the national debt? Yes, you! You and I are paying interest to the bankers on the national debt. Ugh! This recent shutdown of the federal government is a good case in point. We saw our heroes posturing to make deals to save us from disaster. Some want DACA, while others want to build a wall on Mexico’s northern border. Did you ever hear any one of them speak to the real root cause of this self-induced debacle? No!

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) fraud is exchanging benefits for cash, which is called trafficking, and it is against the law. It happens when someone lies on their application to get benefits, or to get more benefits than they are supposed to get. It also occurs when a retailer has been disqualified from the program for past abuse and lies on the application to get in the program again.

The federal government is aggressively fighting SNAP trafficking. The USDA aggressively acts to control trafficking by using SNAP purchase data to identify suspicious transaction patterns, conducting undercover investigations, and collaborating with other investigative agencies.

The USDA is using the latest technology to track and control abuse of SNAP benefits. They are using the electronic “audit trail” from EBT transactions to identify trafficking and other suspicious activity. The Anti-Fraud Locator using EBT Retailer Transactions (ALERT) system monitors electronic transaction activity and identifies suspicious stores for analysis and investigation.

Hawaii: The Last State to be Nuked First: An incoming ballistic missile attack was dispatched to cellphones across the fiftieth state on Saturday, January 13, 2018 setting off widespread panic. An early-morning emergency alert mistakenly warning of an attack was sent by the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency and then revoked 38 minutes after it was issued. There was confusion over why it was released, and why it took so long to rescind. This may have been a blessing in disguise as State officials and residents learned a lot about how their system works.

Overreaction by Hawaiian state officials and the mainland media was an indicator of how ill-prepared and misinformed Americans have become in a country where the new normal is frail, fragile and weaker than crumbling cupcakes. The media frantically tried to make this incident appear to be a real nuclear attack as they scrambled to find would-be experts to fill time on their Saturday shows.

Federal programs are wrought with fraud. This is the swamp that needs to be drained. The bigger the federal program, the bigger the fraud. The bigger the bureaucracy, the bigger the waste. And let me tell you, the United States federal government is wasting our tax dollars at an alarming rate. (bu·reauc·ra·cy)  a system of government in which most of the important decisions are made by state officials rather than by elected representatives.

Our elected representatives have turned our government over to non-elected agencies and departments who publish thousands of regulations and administer thousands of programs. The federal government now has more than 2,100 federal agencies and departments. Do we really need that much bureaucracy to rule over us; and to regulate our lives and our workplaces? I think not. Do you?
